Dante, seizing the opportunity, lunged towards Alex, his claws outstretched. Alex, dazed from the blow, barely managed to roll out of the way, the demon's claws tearing through his shirt.
Clang!
To Dante's surprise, his hand was knocked back as it struck Alex's chest.
"Ack! Why is it so hard!?" he exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief.
"Heh, because it's covering armor!" Alex retorted, swiftly grabbing Galmas and slamming him to the ground.
Galmas, winded from the impact, coughed up a mouthful of water. "You little-" he started, but Alex cut him off with a sharp glare.
"Stay down," Alex growled, his voice laced with a newfound authority. "You're not in my league."
He turned back to Dante, who was still recovering from his surprise. "Now, where were we?" Alex asked, a predatory grin spreading across his face.
