When Derek had seen the fair online, he had decided to come, not for his own sake, but for Emily's enjoyment. He had known that she would love it, and he was glad to be proven correct.

Emily was basically glowing.

Her excitement never waning. If anything, the more stalls they visited, the happier she seemed to get. At the fair, they were not
