Berenice walked through the cold, dimly lit corridors of the maximum-security prison, her heels echoing off the concrete floors. The fluorescent lights above cast a harsh, sterile glow, making the already intimidating environment even more foreboding. She was here on a mission, and nothing would deter her from getting the answers she needed.
