"Um…I…," she couldn't bring herself to ask about Ivaan's accident and looked around awkwardly, when she smelled blood and it was coming from the car keys that were kept on the nearby table.
Osburn stepped close to her, and looked down at her, "What is taking you so long to speak? You know I have to attend the dinner with all the priests, right?"
Karenina inhaled deeply and quickly pointed at the blood coated car keys on the table, "Father Osburn, pardon me but did you leave the college last night?"
His smile vanished and he frowned, "Yes, but why do you ask?" He leaned close to her, his face only a few inches away from her so that he could hear her racing heartbeats.
Gulping in, she replied, "Because last night my classmate Ivaan met road accident and it is said—"
"Child, you shouldn't talk about dead people."
"Why? But he isn't dead yet…," she argued.
"He will be soon."
Karenina: Did I hurt his feelings?
Romeo: I shouldn't have shouted at her!
Me: I'm loving this banter, continue pls~
