章節 1: Chapter 1 : Prologue
Well, life ain't that bad.
More like death wasn't that bad.
It seems things are going well for me.
Expect the fact that I died and reincarnated in a world with devils and angels, pretty much every mythology exists here. Especially one red dragon that only cares for boobs.
Yeah, the world that contains a small city named kuoh. A city that I currently reside in.
I couldn't care less about the shenanigans that happens in here, I don't care about issei or rias, forget about the supernatural world as a whole.
But reincarnating as a high schooler is annoying, I have almost 2 years left to become a legal adult,
being a starting second year student in the prestigious kuoh academy is going to be annoying.
If it was for me, I would've packed my stuff and left the city to god knows where, but I can't have it all my way, can I.
It seems the body that I reincarnated to is called Takara Naoki, a good enough name to stick to, due to the simple fact that I don't remember my own name.
Can't remember much of my past life.
No name
No family.
No girlfriend.
Nothing important at least.
only the most useless things managed to stay in my head.
I am talking pop culture references, Anime and manga, a 7th grade math test weirdly enough.
Gun to my head, I could probably explain the plot of interstellar than tell you my mother name.
It's not as bad as I make it seem to be, I am just being a cynical ass.
But nevertheless, at the current moment of walking back home from my first day of school, thoughts of the next years of my life and how they are going to go.
I plan to go to a good college get a degree and secure a white-collar job managing a company, giving all my work to my employees and lazing around all day.
It's still the 2000s degrees are still useful, plus I am a reincarnated man the knowledge and experience that I have in my brain is almost 30 years ahead of this time, so getting into a good college is gonna be easy!
It's still unsettling, how can I remember a thermodynamics course I took in college more than my mother's face.
While I was submerged in my thoughts I of course didn't notice the extremely ominous figure that was stalking me.
Which seems to be getting extremely close to me as I am speaking.
I, a courageous individual start running in hopes of getting away from the guy, I just don't want to hurt him, obviously.
The figure seems to take this as an invitation, starts running behind me

Huh, man is this awkward.
It looks like we are in stalemate here, He is running after me, and I am running for my second life.
His pace doesn't seem to change, I am not sure exactly about the distance, but we ran almost for 10 min and the thing is not even getting a tiny bit further. And I am reaching my limit here.
So I entered an abandoned warehouse that was close by...
WHY DID I DO THAT YOU ASK, WELL I LIKE TO HELP MY MUREDERERS IN HIDING MY BODY AFTER FINSHING THE JOB.
My poor life decisions aside, after reaching an expected dead end, He finally stops.
In these intense moments of silence I hope he just lowers his hood and tell me that I was pranked.
Trust me I will laugh so hard man. As I gather my breath from running, he with swift motion throws his cloak aside, reveling that he is....
A SHE.
A NAKED SHE.
Relief floods over me—I've never been happier to encounter a pervert before.
While I was celebrating my supposed survival, I hear her say in sultry voice "well, it seems you are cornered.... no where to go.... all for me to eat you whole"
As I was about to reject the exhibitionist and go on my merry way.
I look up and see her body twisting, suddenly expanding losing its human form to reveal a muscular humanoid lion with an upper human body instead of head and neck, it looked like a beautiful woman with huge boobs and predator smile.
OH NO.
OH GOD NO.
Is what I think as I see the creature picking up a huge metal rod like a javelin, just to thow it at me, faced with a huge piece of metal accelerating towards my face, I duck and roll just to hear a sound of a thud.
I look back to see the metal stuck in the wall that was pretty much cracked to oblivion, dread wash over me thinking about what could have happened if I didn't dodge.
Then it dawned on me, I was stupid for thinking I could live a regular life in DxD.
Delusional to think a powerless person can live in peace.
It didn't matter who it was, devils or fallens, they hold the power to decide the fate of us lesser creatures.
"Keep that expression" I hear the lion devil talk as she gets on all four ready to charge, "despair is the sweetest emotion insects like you can have"
My death to her will be more entertainment than food
I wonder if god gives third chances after you waste your second.
With boiling resentment to this world, I ready myself to find out the answer, thinking the next life will be different, how I will gather all the power I can muster for this to not repeat itself.
So I close my eyes, awaiting my fate.

But it didn't come, I open to see the devil on my side motionless, I look up to see her upper body was pierced by the sharp beam in the wall.
This didn't make any sense, no matter the mental illness that the devil had, it could not just miss my body and dive head first in the spike in the wall.
l look around searching for something that explains the absurd situation I was in.
Just to see a weird leg sticking out of the ground, I felt a weird connection to the extremity, like I saw it before.
It must have tripped the devil.
