THIRD PERSON'S POV

Valencia's heart drummed against her chest as she saw Maverick in his wolf form, his large form seething as he bared his teeth at Prince Ethan.

Anyone in their right mind would know not to cross Alpha Maverick, especially when he was standing protectively before his woman. 

Since Axile was standing beside Valencia only a few centimeters away when Ethan tried to attack Axile, Maverick's wolf immediately saw it as a direct threat to their woman. Without thinking twice, he pushed forward.

"Reaper," Valencia murmured, catching the wolf's attention.

Reaper looked at his woman from the corner of his eyes, not letting Ethan out of his sight in case he tried something else.

"I am fine. You don't need to be angry," Valencia whispered to him in case he became too protective and unleashed his beast side.
