It was hard to comprehend what was going on. 

My emotions changed so drastically in the scene before me that it was hard to collect myself.

One moment, I was standing, ready to slice Tyler's hand, and the next moment, he almost killed me.

If Alpha Maverick hadn't pulled me back, the wound on my abdomen would've been lethal to the point it would've been hard to stay alive. 

Everything should've made me hate Tyler. 

Well, I do hate him, but the moment when he was about to stab himself, I saw something flash in his eyes.

His gaze had that glint before too, but I ignored it, thinking he was pretending, but could a man pretend when he was dying? 

It was almost as if he regretted doing everything like he wanted to do something else and ended up doing something else. 

Besides, the words he said about being in someone's manipulation. What kind of manipulation was he talking about? Did someone instigate him to do this?
