Harper's brow furrowed with concern as she watched Rachel's demeanor shift abruptly; the once serene atmosphere suddenly charged with tension. "Rach? Why are you suddenly angry?" she asked, her voice laced with genuine bewilderment. She had been certain that their shared meal and the warmth of their reunion had mended the rift that had separated them for so long.

But as Rachel hastily began packing her belongings, her movements agitated and her expression clouding with anguish, Harper felt a heavy weight settle in the pit of her stomach. Since everything was fine, she didn't know what caused this sudden change.

"Rachel? Sweetheart, what-" Harper began, only to be cut off by Rachel's sharp retort.

"Don't sweetheart me, don't you dare," Rachel snapped, her words laced with a raw emotion Harper had rarely seen in her.
