章節 12: The Return Of Jace

"I'm home," said Jace as he appeared at the gate leading to the estate of the Norman Family. The familiar sight brought back memories of his childhood, when he was still the weak little boy looked down upon by everyone in his family except for a select few.

Jace couldn't forget how his uncle, Jason Norman, had treated him. Despite being aware of Jace's struggles, Jason had chosen to ignore him, leaving him to fend for himself. Jace knew that his uncle, an Omega level gifted with extraordinary abilities, could have helped him, but he had turned a blind eye to him in his most desperate time need.

Among Jason's impressive abilities were his sensory powers, which allowed him to perceive danger from miles away. He could sense disturbances in the air, subtle shifts in energy, and even the faintest whispers of danger. This ability made him an invaluable asset to the Norman Family, as he could anticipate threats before they even materialized.

In addition to his sensory abilities, Jason possessed super strength that surpassed that of any ordinary human. He could effortlessly lift heavy objects, break through solid barriers, and overpower opponents with ease. Combined with his keen senses, Jason was a formidable force to be reckoned with.

But despite his formidable powers, Jason lacked empathy and compassion, especially towards Jace. He viewed his nephew as weak and unworthy, refusing to acknowledge his potential or offer him support. Instead, he focused solely on his own ambitions, determined to maintain his position of power within the family.

"Halt, who are you and where do you think you are going?" The guards stationed at the gate stopped Jace, barely recognizing him in his current state.

Jace, once frail and sickly, now stood before them transformed. His appearance was striking, with a newfound strength evident in his stance and demeanor. His features were sharper, his eyes glinting with determination. He exuded confidence, no longer the timid boy they remembered. Jace's transformation was undeniable, a testament to his resilience and inner strength.

"It's me, Jace. I'm back," said Jace, looking at the guards with a warm smile.

The guards furrowed their brows, scrutinizing the young man before them. They couldn't deny the resemblance between him and the sickly Jace Norman they remembered. However, they couldn't simply take his word for it. After all, Jace had been missing, and this person standing before them could be nothing more than a shapeshifter attempting to impersonate their young lord.

Despite Jace's smile, the guards remained cautious. They exchanged wary glances, silently communicating their uncertainty. It was their duty to ensure the safety of the estate and its inhabitants, and they couldn't afford to let their guard down, even for someone who appeared to be Jace.

"We need proof," one of the guards finally spoke, his voice firm but not unkind. "Something to confirm your identity."

Jace nodded understandingly, realizing their skepticism. He racked his brain, trying to think of something that would convince them of his true identity. Then, he remembered the pendant his father had given him, a family heirloom with the Norman crest engraved on it.

"I have something," Jace said, reaching into his pocket and retrieving the pendant. He held it out for the guards to see, the familiar crest gleaming in the sunlight.

The guards exchanged surprised glances before nodding in acknowledgment. The pendant was indeed a symbol of the Norman family, something only the true Jace would possess.

Relief flooded through Jace as the guards stepped aside, allowing him to pass through the gates. Despite their initial skepticism, they had recognized him as their young lord, and Jace was grateful for their diligence in protecting the estate.

As he made his way inside, Jace couldn't help but smile. He was finally home, and nothing could shake the sense of belonging that washed over him. With the pendant safely back in his possession, Jace felt confident that he could face whatever challenges awaited him within the walls of the Norman estate.

As Jace walked past the gates and into the estate, the guards exchanged curious glances, their earlier skepticism giving way to intrigue. Once he was out of earshot, they began to discuss the changes they had observed in their young lord.

"Did you see that?" one guard whispered, his eyes wide with astonishment. "He looks completely different!"

"I know," replied the other guard, nodding in agreement. "I couldn't believe it at first. He's like a completely different person."

They both fell silent for a moment, processing the transformation they had witnessed. It was clear that Jace was no longer the weak and sickly boy they remembered. Something had changed, and whatever it was, it had imbued him with a newfound strength and confidence.

"I wonder what happened to him," mused the first guard, breaking the silence. "He must have gone through something to undergo such a transformation."

The second guard nodded thoughtfully. "Whatever it was, it seems to have changed him for the better. He looks like he's ready to take on the world."

As they continued to discuss the changes in Jace, a sense of admiration and respect filled their words. Despite their initial skepticism, they couldn't help but feel proud of their young lord for overcoming whatever obstacles he had faced and emerging stronger than ever.

"He's not the same Jace we used to know," remarked the first guard, a note of awe in his voice. "But I think that's a good thing."

The second guard nodded in agreement. "Definitely. It's like he's been reborn."

With that, the guards turned their attention back to their duties, their minds still buzzing with thoughts of the remarkable transformation they had witnessed. As they stood watch over the estate, they couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for what the future held for their young lord, Jace Norman.

As Jace made his way further into the estate, word of his return spread like wildfire among the staff and residents. Whispers and murmurs filled the air as servants and family members alike shared the news with one another.

In the kitchens, cooks paused in their preparations, exchanging excited chatter as they relayed the news to their colleagues. "Did you hear? Young Master Jace has returned!"Upstairs in the grand hall, maids and butlers stopped their work, their eyes widening in surprise at the news. "Is it true? Jace Norman has come back?"

The Main Hall

Janice ran in like a mad woman into the family main hall without even thinking if her father was in a meeting with anyone as she brought him a great news "he is back, Jace is back and he is different"
