With a sense of gratitude she could not fully express, Seraphina took a seat beside him, their shoulders brushing against each other in the close confines of the room. Thomas grinned, his excitement palpable. "I know a place outside the palace walls where we can find the most delicious food you've ever tasted," he said. "Would you care to join me for a walk? I promise you won't regret it."
Seraphina felt a flutter of excitement in her chest at the prospect of exploring the world beyond the palace walls, of experiencing something new and unexpected in the company of someone she had come to trust.
