“Who is he?” Natalie asked curiously. The name struck fear into the hearts of such powerful men and must belong to a formidable villain.

Silas turned to his daughter and frowned. “He is the most dangerous man in the country and perhaps the world.”

Natalie furrowed her brows in confusion. “I don’t understand, Dad. What’s so scary about him? Is he a mafia leader?”

“If only…” was all Dwayne said. He clearly looked unsettled.

Britta spoke up. “Lord Friar is no ordinary man. His family came to this country hundreds of years ago from Romania. Right now, he’s one of the richest people in the world and owns overwhelming resources equal to that of a major country. Be it money, labor force, militant armies, mercenaries, arms, armaments, or influence. Lord Friar’s primary objective is to rule over the world.”
