Yara tucked Tracy into her bed and smoothened her blanket. "You need to rest."
Tracy was still in tears, trying to make her legs move. However, it was all in vain.
"Why did this happen to me, Miss Mathews?" she wailed. "I was running in the park when suddenly my legs gave way. If Torque hadn't found me, I don't know what would have happened."
"Don't worry. I think your legs are paralyzed because of a combination of exhaustion and anemia. It happens to us girls all the time, especially during early adulthood."
Tracy looked up expectantly. "Really? Did something like this happen to you at my age?"
"Yes, of course!" Yara lied. "And my legs recovered after a few days. So, it would be best to stop worrying, finish your meals and rest. That's all the treatment you need."
Her words reassured the girl, and she rested on her pillow and closed her eyes.
