Upon returning to the Lu Family mansion, Lu Jincheng's body language was undisguised aggression. At the moment he entered the door, his mother noticed his foul mood and quickly asked.
"What's the matter, son?"
Facing his family, Lu Jincheng managed to suppress some of his anger.
"It's nothing, Mom."
Even though Lu Jincheng claimed it was nothing, his mother knew he was just putting on a brave face; it was mostly likely business troubles.
"You really should take a break from business, spend more time with Zimo. She's going to give birth in a few months, and taking a break from work won't be a problem."
Lu Jincheng responded indifferently with a hum, but his mother could tell from his attitude that work wasn't the reason for his irritability.
With a guess in mind, his mother probed, "Have you been in contact with Ji Yao recently?"
Lu Jincheng hesitated for half a second before nodding in admission.
