Melchior bounded atop a few roofs, still staring up at the grey blur in the air. Garlan still struggled with it, banging on its body perhaps in some hopes of doing some reasonable damage.

He did nothing, meaning the creature had some strong defences apart from just being fast.

'I need it to stay in place long enough to reach it.'

He glanced around at the others, looking for someone who could help.

The other two soldiers. Neither of them had any abilities that could keep them in place for just long enough for him to strike.

Neither did Solina. So the last person was… Lia.

'She did mention something about holding the beast the last time!'

That was just what he needed. He jumped once and landed next to her on another nearby roof.

"You said you held the bird the last time?" he said. "Can you do it again?"

She paused for a few seconds, a rare look of hesitance appearing on her face.
