Emilia's blood froze and her words caught in her throat as she watched the creature move its eyes to the nape of her neck before it licked its lips.
Its gaze then shifted back to hers making her blood run colder than it already was.
It lowered its head to the side of her neck but all she could do was stand there, frozen in fear. She could hear a sniffing sound as the creature grew closer and closer to her neck, specifically the spot one of her veins passed through.
"If you close your eyes, the pain will be over before you know it," the creature said as it slightly began licking Emilia's neck making a shiver run down her spine.
As the creature licked and nipped her neck more vigorously she let out a whisper of pain and tried to squirm out of the creature's hold. The hands that were one of the locks of her hair were now gripping her shoulders tightly, preventing her from running.
"Stuck with the rules " the creature in a deep hoarse dangerous tone as his grip on her shoulders got tighter.
"Well we played the game, you lost and now you need to give me my prize, " the creature said as his grip grew incredibly tight, making it impossible for Emilia to even attempt to move from her position, the only body parts able to move being her arms.
Emilia's blood ran cold. The creature wanted to drink her blood and judging by the look in his eyes it would probably devour her too.
She stared at the monster, all her physical appearances showing fear. But it wasn't only physical, she was mentally and emotionally filled with dread and fear, and the creature could smell it.
It could hear the blood flowing through her veins, it could hear how her heart was pounding and he could see the tiniest drops of water drop from her forehead and he loved how much fear it was giving her.
"You smell so good little human " The creature moaned as he bit her neck more violently.
Even though it was an attempted compliment, Emilia couldn't help the shiver that ran up her spine.
She didn't like the thought of a monstrous creature telling her that she smelled good. She knew it only meant one thing, and that was that the creature would most likely devour her whole.
The monster gripped her shoulders tightly still, as he bit and licked her skin repeatedly as if preparing her some something.
Her eyes scanned her apartment building. She had a feeling in her guts that it would have been the last time she ever saw the broken fridge in the corner of the room that was used to store but was almost home to the many tiny creatures she shared her apartment with. She looked at the single light in the room of the apartment building, the numerous amounts of times it would break and she would try to fix it herself but due to her lack of technological knowledge, she would end up coming to the power of half the building.
She then turned her direction to the glass lamp on her nightstand, the amount of money sh-...wait THE GLASS LAMP.
Her heart filled with so much relief and a bit of hope as she tried to reach for the glass lamp, with the hope that it might help her current situation. She turned her head making her face her front to avoid suspicion as she began reaching her hand for the lamp.
It seemed almost impossible as she stretched her fingertips to at least try and get the cord of the lamp.
The pain of the creature now harshly biting her neck made her huss slightly in pain as she reached as far as she could.
When it seemed that all hope was lost she felt something brush against her fingertips. She snapped her head towards that direction but the creature was too invested in her neck to notice.
She wrapped her fingertips around the cord and pulled it towards her. Not close enough to attract attention, but close enough to at least reach her palm, and due to the length of the table it was easy to pull it towards her without making a noise.
She firmly grasped it before launching it in the direction of the creature's head in full force.
The creature stuttered back as its grip on her loosened. It grabbed the side of its head, specifically where she had thrown the glass lamp before he began laughing, his deep voice filling the almost soundproof room.
"Human don't give up huh? " he chuckled as he let go of his bleeding forehead, causing the blood to drip down the side of his forehead before a menacing look passed his features.
"I won the challenge. And now the prize is mine" he said in a cold voice, his teasing attitude seemingly to have disappeared into thin air.
Emilia felt a chill go up her spine and she was filled with more fear than she had before as she looked at the monster's menacing and hungry stare.
In the blink of an eye, he was once again beside her, only this time he had a deadly, hungry, dangerous look in his eyes.
This time the teasing gleam wasn't noticeable on his features, The playful smile was replaced with a cold serious look, and were those fangs?
Fangs appeared in front of the creature's mouth and shone like ornaments on a Christmas tree.
Shivers of fear went down Emilia's spine as she felt tears well up in her eyes out of fear. She tried to squirm out of its hold but its grip was tighter than before and firmer as it made sure to grab her arms instead of her shoulders to stop her from trying to reach out again.
Its fangs dripped with silver as it lowered itself slower and closer to her neck.
"I was hoping to make this less painful," the creature said in a deep voice.
In a swift motion, she sunk fangs deep into her skin making her release a bblueblood-curdlingeamas tears rolled down her cheeks.
Her hands tried to push the creature off her but due to how tight he was holding her, she could only turn her shaky hands into fists in the hope that it would balance the pain.
She felt her legs give out from underneath her, but the creature only pinned her further against the wall as it sunk its fangs deeper into her and drank more of her blood.
Her vision blurred, her breathing grew feint and the room began spinning as her head fell on the creature's shoulder, feeling her eyes close.
"Passing out so soon human" the creature taunted as he drank more of her blood but only received a whimper of pain from her.
The room began spinning faster and Emilia closed her eyes, the noises around her grew muffled, and the last thing she heard before losing consciousness was the taunting laughter of the creature.
