I muttered curses as I walked back to Elisera and the minute I got to the bar, the scent of Emmet hit my nose. I ignored it and decided to have a few drinks before heading home to face Tatian. My sober mind was not ready to deal with her. After the bar attendant served my drinks, I sat by the corner and sipped the beer in pleasure.

'" Why the fuck were you following Maxwell" Emmet's loud voice demanded.

I raised my head and my eyes clashed with him. His face was thunderous and he had come to me to pick a fight.

" Your anger is misplaced. Just because your lover had gone, does not mean you need to take it out on me" I responded with calmness.

" I saw you" General Emmet stood there adamantly staring down at me.

" Have a seat, Emmet. I want to have a friendly chat with Advisor Maxwell. You can ask him when you come back again" My tone seemed to have shocked him at how calm I was.
