Davien watched the maid carefully as she placed the food on the table close to Bel, and Cerberus let out a soft growl. The maid stood frozen for a second, but when she saw Cerberus wasn't coming after her, she relaxed.
"Happy now?" Bel asked.
Davien wanted to say that was his line, but he didn't. He didn't want to aggravate her any longer. But if he wasn't sure about the drugs in her food before, he was sure now, though at least they had stopped. "Yeah," he simply said and pushed himself away from the window. "Cerberus," he called. Cerberus's head lifted to look at Davien, but he didn't stand up.
"Let's go," he said.
Cerberus grunted his disapproval before reluctantly rising. He walked to where Davien stood by the door.
"If something happens, don't hesitate to scream as hard as you can," he said and slipped out of the room before she could reply.
