"I am not angry," Bel said, but Davien didn't seem to hear her. He spoke too soon, and it wasn't to reply to what she said.
"Would you like something to drink?" he asked, pulling his hand from his face. His expression was relaxed, even his palms. "Maybe eat too?" He added.
"Yeah," Bel replied.
She had used magic on Brian, so she needed to eat soon. Maybe food would help with her headache. She winced, her body hurt more than she was willing to admit. If it didn't feel worse to use magic on herself, she might have considered it. However, she knew she would feel better in a few days and was willing to wait it out.
"Would you prefer something specific?" he asked.
Bel shook her head. "I am not picky."
"Except when it comes to..." he said, trailing off.
"Comes to what?" she asked with a frown.
"Nothing," he said, standing up. He walked closer to her. "I will let Giselle know you're awake and get you your food."
