Hidden Gem ! I am honestly surprised because I go in expecting novel to be bad 99% of the time and it is but I am surprised MC initially was annoying felt a little whining betaish but then he grows and changes. I mean since he is from earth fine you cant expect him to be op cultivation mindset day 1 so thats fine he changes and grows MC is cold to others and only cares about himself, people he loves, and his goals He is ruthless to others MC also isnt op himself he has to do a fair bit of manipulation, use his skills, tactics etc to come out on top Eventually MC becomes stronger and stronger but initially he has to use tricks and schemes I also like how this isnt just mc becoming op himself it involves nations and other places So schemes are important like making one nation fight against another and he comes in to get benefits or he watches them fight weakening themselves and he can benefit since his demon sect wasnt affected This is pretty awesome and its pretty unique since its hard to come by novels which involve so many nations and mc uses this to sow chaos between nations while building his force
It could be better. This story drags too much, the pace is slow, too much plot holes and forced situations. Many filler chapters and interne dialogue.
Although I give it a 5 star I would say closer to 4,5. This is after reading 200 chapters Plot: the plot is really good, its interesting and very entertaining while also keeping you hooked. I would probably only have 1 problem which is that he pretty much ignores his disciple:). Characters: this is probably the worst ranking out of all my criteria. The characters don’t feel very bland and we are starting to see backgrounds formed for several side characters. Which is definitly a plus but after 200 chaps there are already a lot of characters and most of them still feel quite underdeveloped but I hope that changes when I read more chapters. Then there has been little chracter development which is alright because that doesn’t need to be forced but I like that the mc has become moee confident. One problem I have with the mc though is that for a normal modern person he never had a problem with killing. Like even a city full of normal people. World: I find the world very interesting. And it seems the author wants it to have a multitude of different power systems in one world which if succesfull could be very good. Besides that we also slowly get to know each region more in a way that feels nice. But there are a few problems. One is that everything feels very disconected. Even 2 cities one the same continent don’t feel as if they are in the same region. Part of this is because although I find the worldbuilding interesting, much of society feels left alone. We know there is a king and a crown prince in Eastern Continent bur if there only 1 kingdom, how do the king(s) and the Great Demon Sect coexist are all things never touched upon making the Eastern Continent feel very empty and thus disconnected. All in all great novel, very entertaining and would definetly reccommend.
So there's this feeling of control I like to see main characters. but here the MC has bluff his way out of all situations. I've not seen the so called system give any proper reward to increase his strength. The little power he has are all from external source. While I'm seeing some mysteries about his origins appearing once a while, they don't really add any boost to his strength in the beginning. . that option about is life path was just a hoax. It's like all his choice that affect his life are bound by the system, it's either he chooses one of the four or die Anyways this review is just subjective and a thumbs up to the author for his creativity and good writing quality
author i am on chapter 101 and i still haven't seen 1 powerful male character, like 3 out of 4 overlords are female and that women in dragon palace is also a woman, please just don't have all powerful characters as female, it get boring as the novel progresses
Great novel !! This is a well built complex story ! This might seem booring at the start which shows that the mc is bluffing his way without real power but it will get intresting as the story progress , he gets strong along the way very fast . mc is smart ,brave, cunning ,and stupid sometimes . The story gets complicated as the story progress which makes this intresting . looking forward to more chapters! good luck author 👍🏻

It’s a funny concept it could be funny, but the system as a slave system. I don’t know if you like those, but those really repulsed me where the main character literally has to do with the system says no bro that’s freaking stupid in the main character super weak a really, really, really, really, really, really really weak and the freaking system doing nothing for it so I don’t know man if you like reading super weak schemers is what the title the tag said it’s it’s not that he’s literally just trying to survive so if you like that, read it if you enjoy main characters with more deaths than just being a week dude hiding, I don’t read it.

I must say for those who like mc to be dominating first 100 chapters would be truly boring but let me tell you that story is quite good and mc has now gotten chance to become strong well i think you should add some interesting harem author but I say that fun comes occasionally after ch 150 at best so don't worry you can give it a try and if you are reading till ch 300 or more you will understand whether I am right or not Author i would like to say plz don't drop it and make it even more enjoyable for us as you are doing till now
I had my doubts because I usually don't have any luck with Eastern genre type novels. But I am pleasantly surprised and fully invested in the story. Aside from the gramatical errors here and there, the story overall has been phenomenal. I have not been able to stop reading because it keeps pulling me back in! Keep up the good work Revonne!
To be honest I read this book because I was always getting recommended by Webnovel, and honestly after reading 20 chapters, I had go drop it, honestly super boring, not to mention it doesn't get any better, by what people have said, here I am now saying mine, read something much more interesting, sorry author, but you can do better than this, anyone can tbh

MC is a powerless nobody who has to fool everyone by pretending to be a powerful elder of a powerful sect... problem is that in order to make MCs bluffs work, the author had to dumb down everyone around the MC and use unhealthy amounts of plot armor. I initially planned on reading all the available non-locked chapters but I couldn't even do that.
Very enjoyable. It's not boring. I liked its development. Characters still don't have a lot of depth. MC is an idiot; Author shouldn't have said that's he's smart and a genius young professor. His thinking capability and intellect are hardly praiseworthy. I'd say he's a below average IQ guy. The system is cool, and the MC's choices are not frustrating, they are very logical and on point. The whole concept is fun to read.

Honestly, the novel is quite boring. It has some interesting parts, but overall, it's really boring and frustrating. Some of the tags are just for show, like the romance and harem, while MC is kinda pathetic, without any real depth to him. He mostly bluffs his way out of situations, and relies on external means without any real power of his own.
