There were no more corpses, only ashes. Jon thought there were only ashes. Daenerys ordered them to land. Jon touched ground and turned to pet Rhaegal who leaned into his touch. "Good girl."
"He is male." Aegon said as he landed by him. Daenerys nodded when she dismounted Drogon.
Jon shook his head and walked with them. "Rhaegal is a she."
Daenerys smiled, "how are you certain?"
"It is a feeling I have." He said and walked between them.
Aegon looked a bit annoyed but did not show it much. "I believe that we killed them all. We are victorious." The prince said with a bit of relief.
"What do you think Lord Stark?" Daenerys addressed him.
"I think my queen and her children saved Westeros today." Jon said with a smile.
Daenerys smiled, "We saved Westeros. Aegon, you, our people and me. We saved all Westeros."
Aegon laughed, "I think we should rain fire tomorrow as well. Have as many men go back to the Wall as soon as the sun comes up." The young prince stated easily. Jon agreed with the man wholeheartedly and so did Daenerys it seemed.
They walked as the dragons flew over them. "They must be hungry. They need to feed." Daenerys said worried about the creatures.
Jon did not want to think about the dragons feeding or hunting people. Aegon looked at him and replied, "they will feed from the carcasses of whatever was left. Mainly horses or scavenge far north. Aunt has to let them go. They are trained to not eat children but everything else is fair game for them."
Daenerys frowned, "Do not concern yourself Lord Stark. My children usually eat horses and farm animals. They can go long periods of time without eating. I stressed to the Lord Commander to have some horses ready for them."
Jon hoped that they were right. He saw as Viserion and Drogon went ahead. Rhaegal hung back. Daenerys nudged him, "you have to tell her to go."
"How do I say that?" The heir to Winterfell asked.
Aegon said it carefully and Jon repeated it, "Rhaegal go." He spoke in his rusty Valyrian.
Daenerys and Aegon looked at him and smirked, "your Valyrian needs a lot of work."
"Aegon and I could teach you." Daenerys offered.
He never expected Aegon to agree, "you should learn if you are to ride Rhaegal."
"with your leave your grace." Jon continued.
Daenerys nodded, "Maybe Aegon could teach you in his spare time as well."
Aegon shook his head, "I don't think so. I despised lessons as a child and have no intention to relive them."
Jon laughed, "I hated lessons too."
Daenerys giggled, "I will teach you lord Stark."
They arrived at camp soon enough. Ghost ran to him and almost knocked him back to the snow. "Good boy." Jon said as Ghost licked his face and danced around him.
Tormund was the first to reach him. "Jon Stark."
"The Fearless Wolf has come back." He bellowed. Soon there was cheer in the camp. Many men came and hugged him. They hugged Aegon and bowed to Daenerys.
Father hugged him tight. His brothers hugged him too. Robb had a bandaged arm while father limped a bit. Tommen looked fine.
"We saw you in the skies. You mounted one of the dragons." Robb said excitedly.
"How was it?" Tommen asked.
"My prince." Robb said and then hugged him. Aegon grinned too.
Father smiled, "We are going home."
"Where are the dragons?" Robb asked.
"Scavenging, they will come back when they are tired. My aunt's tent should be separated. The children like to sleep around her." Aegon stated conversationally.
Daenerys nodded, "Lord Stark. We should sleep. You and the men will march south in the morrow. Jon, Aegon and I will mount the children and climate the rest of the undead in the morrow."
"As you wish my queen. I shall have the men divided and set up. We have many wounded and they will be moved first. We will send them with provisions and men to escort them. There will be no celebrations until we reach Westeros." Father said and asked his sons and other commanders to spread the word. It would take months for them to reach the Wall. Longer now because of the wounded and the fewer provisions.
"We have set camp and tents. Prince Aegon will share with Robb." Father explained. "Tommen decided to tend to the wounded. He will take special care of Jorah. Do not concern yourself my queen. He is perfectly fine; his leg will heal in time."
"I will see him." Daenerys made her way with Tommen.
"Come your grace, I will show you the tent." Robb led the prince.
Jon wanted to stay by Daenerys' side. "Where will I stay?"
"With me and Tyrion." Father walked with him to their tent.
"Where is uncle Tyrion?" Jon asked when he did not see his uncle inside.
"He is overseeing the wildfire safe storage." He replied and undressed. Father rested on his cot.
Jon could not bring himself to undress completely. He wanted to see Daenerys, slip inside her tent and sleep by her side.
Jon rested on his cot and waited for a time to leave the tent. He would have to figure out where her tent would be.
"How many men did we lose?" Jon asked after a while.
"A good two hundred between Free Folk, Unsullied and Westerosi. It would have been more had you and Aegon not ridden the dragons." Father finished.
"I thought to pair you with Tommen and have you transport the injured first." Father continued.
Jon felt tired, "Robb could do that. I have to remain back. Rhaegal has to be ridden."
Father sighed, "I am aware. It was just a desperate attempt to keep you away from her."
Jon did not want to argue anymore. "Father please."
Father sat up, "I beg you to think about this. We were victorious. Your sisters are lost to us forever. I cannot believe I am uttering these words but we need to be in Daenerys Targaryen's good graces. Let this woman go."
"I will not." Jon replied with just as much conviction.
Father closed his eyes, "do not seek her tonight. It is too dangerous."
Jon nodded and undressed for the night. He however remained awake. No matter what he said to father. He needed to see her, the consequences be damned. Ghost slept peacefully by his side.
He slowly and carefully re-dressed. Jon heard rustling by the entrance. Uncle Tyrion arrived as quietly as he could.
Jon hugged him and spoke in whispers, "Father is asleep. I am going to make some rounds. Try to sleep."
Tyrion nodded, "I saw you riding Rhaegal." His uncle grinned.
Jon grinned back. "I will tell you all about it in the morrow." His uncle nodded and let him get out of the tent.
Jon visited some of his men. The Free Folk rested alongside Westerosi and Unsullied. They all slept peacefully. Jon spoke to Tormund who boasted of having a few more scars. Ed Tollett looked hopeful for the first time since they met. He was in good spirits and had the men of the Night's Watch set around the camp and watch just in case there were more white walkers lurking.
The heir looked up at the skies. No signs of the dragons. He supposed there were a few men setting watch around Daenerys' tent. He was not mistaken. A few unsullied surrounded the tent. Jon would have to circle the tent and get inside in another way. He whispered her name. "Daenerys."
"Jon." She whispered back.
"I am outside. Get out of your tent and distract the unsullied." He ordered.
Daenerys did so. She stepped out the tent and spoke to her men. It was time enough for him to turn around and get inside the tent. Someone built her a makeshift fireplace. He warmed his hands until Daenerys to join him.
She smiled at him and hugged him. "We can go back to your home now." She said and caressed his back.
He kissed her forehead and nodded, "We will."
Daenerys kissed him gently. He did not deepen the kiss. They rested on the furs. He held her and they spoke.
"How did you mount Rhaegal?" She asked in whispers. The guards were still outside.
"I called her and she came. She tilted her wing and I went for it." Jon finished.
"Only Targaryens mount dragons." Daenerys whispered.
"Maester Aemon said worthy riders can mount dragons." Jon replied. He felt content and sleepy. He grabbed her teat and massaged it. "Besides, I mount you." He kissed her neck. Daenerys moaned. Jon did not move his hand and fell asleep kissing her neck.
Jon woke up to the feel of her hand on his manhood. "My Fearless Wolf" Daenerys kissed him good morning.
"Good morning." He rasped and lowered the straps of her dress. He kissed her neck. Jon moved to touch her cunt and put her above him. He loved to see her breasts bounce.
Daenerys moaned and bounced up and down his cock. He played with her button as well. It was a vision to see her moan and reach completion. He flipped her and took her on her knees. He drove into her. Daenerys had to bite down fur to keep from shouting his name. He spilled deep inside of her. Jon kissed her back.
The tent was hot. The children were around them. Jon wanted to stay inside her for hours but they had to ride the dragons. "Get ready." He said and moved her blonde hair aside.
"Stop kissing me then." She said and moved his hand to her teat.
He bit down her shoulder. "Wake up my love." He stood up and pissed on a corner. Jon dressed and saw as Daenerys dressed for the day.
"Go first." He kissed her and waited until the tent was cold. The dragons flew above. Jon visited the tents with the wounded and oversaw their moving. Ser Jorah looked upset to be handled as a cripple.
Father and uncle saw him. "Prince Aegon is looking for you. Her majesty is to lead you and her nephew today." Uncle Tyrion explained.
Jon nodded and met with Robb and Tommen one last time. Tommen was to leave with the wounded. The rest of the Starks and uncle Tyrion were to remain back as to have the wounded reach Craster's Keep first.
Jon said goodbye to Tommen and then met with the royals. Aegon mounted Viserion first. The dragon accepted its rider with easiness. Daenerys mounted Drogon and rose with a smile.
Jon could feel all eyes on him. The people around him watched as he spoke to Rhaegal softly, "Good girl." He said. Jon could feel uncle Tyrion's and Father's eyes very keenly.
Rhaegal let out some smoke and leaned her face into Jon's outstretched hand. Jon grinned when she lowered her wing. He mounted her. Rhaegal soared and followed her brothers. Jon felt invincible on top of Rhaegal.
He saw as Drogon rained fire below. Viserion followed and so did Rhaegal when he commanded her. "Dracarys." He whispered. The man did not feel like he could shout in Valyrian just yet.
Jon saw the last of the walkers burn by fire. The last of the wildfire caches burned up as well.
He felt the wind and imagined what it would feel like to fly Rhaegal south during summer time. Jon smiled at his thoughts. It would be a long winter. The maesters foretold it. Father said that the last winter lasted five years but this winter was bound to last longer. They had at least ten years of summer.
