Daedric's sharp gaze fell on Hazel as she carefully arranged the flowers in the vase by the window.

"What are you doing here?" he demanded, his tone laced with irritation. "Since when did I grant you the liberty to come and go as you please?"

Hazel straightened her posture and turned to face him with a calm face. "I have a question for the Crown Prince," she replied firmly, meeting his piercing eyes without flinching. "I understand he seeks rest, but I'll leave once I've received my answer."

Daedric narrowed his eyes, his jaw tightening as he pulled at the knots of his cloak, letting it fall loosely over his shoulders.

"Ask your question," he said sharply, each word enunciated with precision. "But be quick about it. My patience has limits, and I won't hesitate to show you the door."
