Sebastian didn't have time to process this potential revelation, though, because about two seconds later, the person was harshly shoved to the ground. Even though there was a gracious amount of snow, there was still rocky cobblestone underneath, and Sebastian heard the person flinch. Sebastian looked up to see two thugs, with wrinkled skin and hunched backs. They were probably slave traders, judging by the seals on their shirts - which made this person a former slave.
Without thinking, he wrapped his arms around the person from behind and rested his head on top of theirs, glaring as icily as he could. He also made sure to slightly bend backward so that this mystery person was out of arm's reach. The thugs flinched a little, taking in his more-than-elaborate hairstyle and more-than-elaborate clothes, and took off running. Sebastian sighed and let go, sitting back, now turning to look at the person.
Jylan was smiling, A smile that could only have belonged to a person who had been joyous their whole life, his green eyes were a bit bigger than when they had last met, and his hair was a bit longer, but Sebastian almost started crying. Then, they both looked at each other and said, at the same time,
"I've found you!"
