Lu Ye frowned as he studied the man, but after a careful inspection, he confirmed there was nothing out of the ordinary. Relaxing a little, his eyelid twitched slightly as he glanced at Zhouzhou, who was still sitting safely where she had been. Only then did he feel reassured.
"Brother, what's wrong?" Zhouzhou had just finished a fortune-telling session and collected payment. When she turned around and saw Lu Ye's serious expression, it was as if something troubling had happened, which made her ask with concern.
Hearing her question, Lu Ye shook his head. "Nothing."
Zhouzhou furrowed her little brows, clearly not believing him. His expression didn't look like nothing was wrong--something was definitely going on, and she was certain it was serious. However, they all treated her like a child, always hiding things from her and refusing to tell her the truth.
With a pout, Zhouzhou huffed unhappily, "Fine. When something happens to me, I won't tell you either."
