Ren blinked, rubbing his eyes as the vibrant, unfamiliar village spread before him. 

The sky above was blue as clear as glass, and the air filled with the smell of various food and the sounds of bustling activity. 

All around him were people dressed in bright, colorful robes. They moved with smiling faces as though in the midst of a grand celebration. Children laughed, merchants called out to potential buyers, and the sweet scent of incense wafted through the air.

People were wearing long ancient robes. The rich ladies moved in a group, their hair decorated with silver hair pins, and some had delicate tassels hanging onto them. The tassels moved with their head movement, forcing Ren's heart to pitter patter.

He glanced down at his modern clothes, a simple shirt, jeans, and sneakers. 'I look like I came to a costume party but forgot the memo.' He chuckled to himself, trying to shake off the eerie sense he felt in his heart.
