Ren vanished, leaving behind Kade to look at his empty embrace. The warmth still remained on the fingertips he had used to touch Angel.
"You let him go! Again! Do you think weaving these dreams is easy? I won't be able to do it for at least a week now!"
Kade kissed his fingers, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
"He is afraid. I hate that."
"Of course he is! You are a ruthless emperor, and he is just a playful child of your minister. He came here to play and accidentally fulfilled the prophecy of your concubine falling from the sky!"
Kade sighed, "You refused to tell me the real origin of me and my angel. You keep saying that he is a god, and I am the one he has killed, but according to the mythology, it is the opposite. I killed him."
There was silence in his mind before his other self spoke again. His voice was much more agitated than before.
