Where Griffin was busy worrying about Dorion, the said boy was once again lost in his dreams.

Ren blinked at the darkness that engulfed the air around him in its black embrace. He felt himself sitting on the ground.

He would have panicked if not for the sudden light flickering in the room.

The harsh glare forced his eyes to shut on their own, and he instinctively raised a hand to shield his face from the blinding onslaught of the light.

As his senses adjusted, a rattling sound in the otherwise quiet space caught his attention.

His gaze fell to his wrist, and now he was aware of the cold, unyielding chain that bound him. He tugged at it with a tentative force, but the metal held firm on his thin wrist, far too strong for his efforts to break free.

Ren took a deep breath, the stale air filling his lungs as he assessed his situation. The cold stone floor beneath him was rough and cold.
