Kade stared down at the gruesome scene before him, unfazed by the carnage that surrounded his feet. The brain matter and blood melded together, painting on the floor. Limbs lay broken and scattered like discarded toys, the vacant stares of severed heads meeting his. 

To anyone else, this sight would induce revulsion or fear, but for him, it brought something else entirely, silence. Finally, blessed silence.

Glancing at his blood-soaked shoes, he made a mental note to clean them before turning in for the night. His spacecraft awaited him outside, a black vessel hidden from prying eyes. He climbed the spacecraft with ease and started rushing toward the outskirts of Atlanta city. That was where his little rented apartment was. Albeit a bit deserted, that place had the perfect security needed for his job.
