Contrary to what she thought, Lyfra's words only fueled Terim's anger. 

He stood there with fists clenched, his voice shaking with frustration. "She's my mom, not yours! Why would she take your side?!"

Zenith heard Lyfra's complaint loud and clear. Nevertheless, she chose to remain seated, not intervening in the argument between Lyfra and Terim. Her calm demeanor contrasted sharply with Terim's annoyance.

Lyfra, on the other hand, did not bother with the lack of response from Zenith as her eyes finally landed on Ren.

Albeit for a moment, Ren felt a killing intent from her narrowed eyes. Learning from Zenith, Ren also did not give any reaction to her. 

However, he still sneakily huddled closer to Zenith. The way she was staring daggers at his face made him uncomfortable.
