章節 31: Chapter 31: Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

After a brief contemplation, Lynn decided to sell some of his alchemy products. He approached the front desk and extracted more than a dozen cloaks from the canvas bag around his waist. Each cloak bore an alchemy-inscribed magic circle, functioning similarly to the Shield Cloaks invented by the Weasley twins.

After evaluation, the official offered Lynn 25 gold Galleons for each cloak, which Lynn readily accepted.

Next, Lynn presented a dampening stone engraved with an alchemy circle. This was a failed product from his attempt to use the dampening stone given by Professor Green to refine the magic-dampening rod. Due to the failure, the rod could only release its power through manual breakage, rendering it less valuable than the prototype provided by Professor Green.

Since the failed alchemy product held no utility for Lynn, he opted to trade it. Professor Green, having no objections, disliked such ineffective creations resulting from alchemical failure.

Soon, a potion master approached Lynn's platform, offering a spoonful of elixir in exchange for the failed magic-dampening rod. The elixir was sealed within a crystal vial, emitting a captivating golden glow under the light. While the elixir's quantity was small, its ornamental value exceeded its intrinsic worth, largely attributed to the crystal seal.

Lynn happily completed the transaction with the potion master.

Following the exchange, Lynn used his gold Galleons to purchase more than a dozen alchemy products from official booths before departing the store with Professor Green.

"We'll find a place to rest for the night. Tomorrow, we're visiting my alma mater, Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. You'll find it quite fascinating," Professor Green announced.

Thus, the pair secured two rooms at a pub on Diagon Alley, settling in for the night.

The following day, Professor Green escorted Lynn to the outskirts of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic via Apparition.

Located in the French Pyrenees, Beauxbatons Academy of Magic stood as one of the three major magical institutions in Europe. Its majestic palace, surrounded by vast lawns and magically crafted mountain scenery, never failed to astonish visitors.

Legend had it that the grand palace and grounds of this ancient school were partially funded by the renowned alchemists Nicolas and Perenelle Flamel during their youthful visits. Consequently, the towering fountain on campus bore the name LeFays, after the Flamels.

This fountain, with its apparent restoration and beautification properties, was undoubtedly a product of alchemy.

Beauxbatons Academy of Magic boasted considerable achievements in alchemy, where Professor Green had received his enlightenment in alchemical knowledge. Graduating from Beauxbatons, he later became a student of Nicolas Flamel.

Upon arrival, a tall figure awaited them—the headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, Madame Maxime. She approached with a smile, greeting Professor Green warmly, "Mr. Green, it's a pleasure to welcome you back to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic."

Professor Green shook her hand, returning the smile. "I've brought one of my students to visit my alma mater this time. We'll also be meeting my teacher later."

Madame Maxime's smile widened at the news. "You're visiting Mr. Nicolas Flamel? And what's the name of this young gentleman? To have Mr. Green as your teacher at such a young age, you must be quite extraordinary!"

Lynn respectfully saluted Madame Maxime. "My name is Lynn Rowle. There's nothing special about me; it's just that my passion for alchemy has been appreciated by my teacher."

Madame Maxime didn't take his modesty lightly. She called out to the school, "Miss Delacour? Could you please take care of our Beauxbatons guests?"

As Madame Maxime's voice echoed, a striking figure emerged from the school—a girl with silver-blonde hair and skin as pale as moonlight. She exuded a constant aura of magic, a captivating presence.

"She's... a Veela?" Professor Green inquired.

Madame Maxime nodded, introducing, "She's one of our most talented students, Fleur Delacour. She'll guide you on the next leg of your journey. I hope you have a wonderful experience!"

As the headmistress of Beauxbatons, Madame Maxime couldn't accompany them constantly.

At that moment, Miss Fleur Delacour stepped forward, extending a generous salute to Professor Green. "Hello, Mr. Green, I am Fleur Delacour. You may just call me Fleur."

Professor Green nodded in acknowledgment. "Thank you for your assistance."

With that, Fleur led the two of them into Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.

During their tour of Beauxbatons, Fleur provided a brief overview of the school's current state. Among Beauxbatons students, alchemy held the second-highest importance after Charms, with nearly every student in the second year or above possessing some knowledge of the subject.

"Miss Delacour," Lynn, who was listening intently, asked curiously, "Madame Maxime mentioned that you're one of the most talented students here. I'm curious about your proficiency in alchemy."

Fleur's demeanor turned slightly arrogant as she placed her hands on her hips. "My skills in alchemy are certainly not inferior to any of my peers."

Lynn was taken aback by Fleur's response, his curiosity piqued further. "Miss Delacour, despite being two years younger than you, I wonder if I could challenge you to a test of our alchemical knowledge."

At that moment, Lynn's intention was genuine—he sought to engage in a constructive exchange of knowledge rather than to challenge Fleur's boastfulness.
