章節 19: Noah's Arrest.
Luca's P.O.V
Stepping out of my office. There was a lot of crowd and in between, I could see the security guards trying to take control of the situation.
I walked towards the crowd.
"What's going on?" I asked pulling one of the workers from the crowd.
"Good day, Sir." He greeted, me as soon as he realized I was the one.
"Gooday, what's happening?" I asked, trying to peer into the crowd.
"The FBI came to arrest Noah..."
"Wait...What!" I yelled.
"Noah?" I asked.
"Follow me to my office," I ordered, walking back to my office.
"When, did this happen," I asked, utterly shocked, how could I be asleep for just a few minutes, only to wake up to the news that my assistant was arrested by the FBI?
"Make it, make sense" I muttered
"Well, a man came in with the FBI, to arrest Noah, who was just coming from his break I guess, and he tried to fight back.
And that's what resulted in the commotion, drawing attention.
His colleagues didn't want him to be taken on bases nobody understood.
"You can leave," I said, punching numbers into my telephone.
I do have affiliations in the FBI, and I need to figure out, why they would just come in to arrest a staff.
After ringing up a few contacts, all responded negatively with the promise, that they would figure out what was going on.
I decided to check in with my dad.
The noise had died down, by the time I came out.
But I could still hear the staff whispering amongst themselves.
"Whatever this is all about. I'll figure it out."
I muttered as I headed for the elevator.
"What do you mean, his is done for today?" I asked Jane. Confused and shocked.
"When did he leave" I asked, Jane, who was surprised at my outburst.
"He left about forty minutes ago" She replied shortly.
"Any idea where he went to?" I asked, hoping her response be positive.
"Yes, Sir. He'd say he would be going home" she said curtly.
"Thank you...." I said turning to leave.
When I suddenly turned back.
*Do you have any idea of what went down? On the fifth floor?" I asked.
"Not sure, but word has it that, Mr Noah was arrested." She said curtly.
I gave a slight nod. " The news had gone round," I thought to myself.
I need to catch up with my dad.

In a few minutes, after locking my office. I was heading back home.
Noah was one person I was sure about that could never commit an offense that could involve the police less alone, The Federal Bureau of Investigation.
"What the fuck did you do Noah" I muttered bitterly, slamming my hand on the car horn.
After about, twenty minutes drive. I could see the rooftop of the Guan's mansion.
"I sincerely hope, everything starts to make sense," I mumbled.

"Where's Mr Guan?" I asked my dad's butler.
"In his office sir," he said with a short bow.
" Okay, thank you," I said running for the stairs.
" He do not wish to be disturbed at the moment sir", he added, making me come to a halt.
I gave him a small smile.
" It's an emergency," I said, continuing my short race up the stairs.
Now at the corridor of my dad's home office.
I knocked slightly on the door. And without even waiting for permission. I barged in.
My dad, who was facing a safe, obviously arranging some papers, turned startled, and on seeing me.
The shock expression all over his face was something I couldn't describe.
And that made it so clear. That whatever it is my parents are hiding was in this office.
"What brings you here Luca?" He asked clearing his throat, trying to act undisturbed.
"Noah was taken by the FBI..." I said walking into his office.
" And when did that happen?" He asked, obviously not interested.
"Some minutes ago, at my office," I said, taking a seat opposite his.
" And you think I'm behind it?" He asked with a short chuckle.
I didn't think he would be behind it. But with the secrets he had been keeping lately, I got suspicious.
" No, I didn't think you'd be behind it, I just thought you would know something about it," I said, trying my best to act like that was the truth.
He gave out a long sigh. " I've nothing to do with Noah's arrest.
He probably got himself messed up in some financial crime or something."
" Yeah, you might be right," I said, exhaling.
"Luca...." He said giving off another disappointed laugh.
" You should probably go figure out what your assistant stole, rather than barging into my office, suspicion filled and disappointed at yourself...."
"Noah isn't a thief!" I yelled, startling him again for a bit.
"Noah might be anything but not a thief," I said, coming to Noah's defense.
My dad looked at me for a while. " Get out of my office." He ordered sternly. Upset at the fact that I yelled at him.
Using a side eye to glance at the safe they locked a minute ago.
I stood up. Without saying a word, I walked out. Leaving him to his rage.
Coming out of the office, I sighted my Mom up the stairs.
Staring plainly at me. But also giving the look that says "Do not move an inch further"
Seems she was coming to meet him as well.
"What went down, between you two?"
She asked coming down the stairs.
"Noah was arrested by the FBI," I said plainly.
She stopped walking for a moment.
I couldn't tell if she was shocked, disturbed, or not.
As she was pretty good at hiding emotions.
" Your assistant was arrested by the FBI?" She asked again.
"Yes Mom" I answered.
"And what does that have to do with your dad?" She asked, her gaze not coming off me.
"I thought.... assumed he knew something about it" I stuttered honestly.
She sighed and shook her head.
"Luca, your dad has way more important things to take care of, other than going after your assistant." She said placing her hands on my shoulders.
"Yeah, I figured that out," I mumbled.
"Hmm mm," she said, walking into his office.
While I took the stairs back to the living room.
