My heart raced from the moment I realised it was him to the moment Kate caught up with me, and even now that I'm on the field, I still feel it beating violently against my ribcage.

What is going on? Why is this happening? I filled my mouth with water from my water bottle.

If my mind thinks it can wander around someone else, then I'll give it something else to keep it occupied, and that is the liquid entering my body. So far, it's working. Hearing the sound of my swallows does drift my thoughts in a different direction.

Till I am sure that I am over him completely, I have to stay away from him. I cannot afford anything that'll ignite the sparks I'm trying so hard to kill.

"Okay everyone, gather around!" Someone yelled. It is a woman. I heard a whistle blow and quickly shut my bottle close, kept it on the bench where everyone else left their things on and stood there, staring at it.

I should've brought my bag but that is a thought for another time.
