"The witches are here Vinnandra."

Vinnandra gulped in a mouthful of air as Ryker's earlier instructions filtered through her mind. Ryker was above them, at a vantage point where he and Bella were hidden inbetween canopy of leaves.

From his view, he would be able to see the witches before the rest of them would. Vinn and Deanera were midair at opposite sides, out in the clear where the witches could clearly see them. It was a trap that could in turn backfire at them, but at that moment, that fist formation was all they had.

Jalamayun approached them, but the witch with a jar of blood was noticeably missing from the sparse company of witches he was in.

Jalamayun had a swagger to his steps, a confidence Vinn couldn't shake off no matter how much she looked at him. Zalreth snorted at the man, battle ready, but Jalamayun was at ease, confident that he would be able to brave the storm.
