"What do you mean that he hasn't violated any laws, therefore we can't go after him?" An angry voice asked through the phone.
"Just what I said Lex." A cool female voice responded.
"Waller, his tech would be beneficial for cadmus." Lex shot back. "It could put cadmus ahead by decades."
"I agree." Waller said. "Unfortunately to get it we would have to seize it, through "Legal" means. The President has already said to drop it. Going to court would mean having to acknowledge that we knew of that debacle at the school."
"So what we wait?" Lex asked
"Isn't your legal team trying to file patents on the tech?" She asked. "When you win the court battle just seize it that way."
"Hammer is getting in the way." Lex responded. "It will be a three way battle at this point and much harder for me to seize."
"Can't be that hard." She shot back. " Not with your money."
"He got Walters fighting the civil suit." Lex answered. "He hired her this morning. They have launched counterfeits for libel and slander. As well as attempted theft of intellectual property."
Waller smirked. "Mr Morganrote works fast. I wonder if I can convince him to work with me."
"Waller I have been with you for years." Lex said, a warning note in his voice.
"Yes Lex years." Waller acknowledged. "And in all the years I've worked with you you haven't developed anything thoa impressive." Hanging up the line she grumbled. "Arrogant ass."
Looking across the room she saw Trask. "Haven't you had enough?" She asked annoyed.
"I got some of the GN drives that brat sold to shield." He answered. "Ten of the sentinels have been outfitted."
Amanda Waller raised an eyebrow. "How's the preformance?"
"One Thousand percent increase in power." He said excitedly. "If we had more of these we would have an unstoppable force against those super powered freaks."
"But we dont." Waller said sarcastically. "And you need to stay out of sight. President's orders."
POV Mike.
It has been three days since the battle at Xaviers school. The meetings with Walters and Murdock had gone well.
Walters had agreed to be on retainer for any civil matters. She also agreed to filing patents and counter sue Lexcorp and Hammer Industries.
"I should pay you to sue those assholes." She had said excitedly.
Mike had broached the topic of her being permanently hired on as the head of the legal department. She agreed, but only if she could hire her own team. And the first few months she stayed on retainer to see how Mike worked.
Matt Murdock had agreed to be on retainer, but refused a position with the company.
"My law office is doing well enough." He said. "I am familiar with the area and my disability makes it hard to navigate new places."
"You must have a devil of a time getting around." Mike responded trying to get a reaction. Unfortunately the man had one hell of a poker face.
Arriving back at the compound Mike was told he had a phone call from Bruce Wayne. Answering the phone he said "Hello Mr Wayne how can we be of assistance today?"
"Mr Morganrote, would it be possible for you to come to Gotham this weekend?" He asked. "I would like to discuss cooperation between our two companies."
Zechs was shaking his head.
"Unfortunately Mr Wayne I will not beable to get away at this time can we reschedule?" Mike responded.
"Of course." Bruce Wayne answered. "I look forward to it."
After Mike had hung up the call he looked at Zechs. "Too much of a security issue." Zechs said. "We don't know what all is going on."
About then there was a buzzer. Looking out he saw Lois Lane. "You've got to be kidding me." Mike complained.
