Yang Baifu's feet soaked comfortably in hot water as he leaned against the bed, while his wife, Yang Dongshi, sat on a small stool, meticulously washing his feet.

"Tomorrow, go see your sister-in-law," Yang Baifu suddenly said.

Yang Dongshi glanced up at her husband and nodded hurriedly, "Yes." Without a son, she had always felt insecure in the Yang Family, always treading carefully for fear of being carelessly dismissed and sent back to her own family.

"What do you think happened with Dani?" Yang Baifu rubbed his nose as he spoke, a fierce glint flashing in his eyes, "How did that wretched girl suddenly become so formidable?"

Yang Dongshi forced a smile but didn't know what to say, so she changed the subject, "The water has cooled, let me dry your feet," as she reached for a towel.

Yang Baifu was annoyed, "Talking to you is like playing the lute to a cow." With that, he splashed water on her face as he pulled his feet out of the basin.
