章節 4: Chapter 4 : Rewards by system

In the room, Cole slumped onto the sofa, removed his glasses with one hand, and massaged his head.

The journey back from the pyramid had been truly exhausting for him.

That's correct, Cole wasn't from this world, and naturally, his name wasn't Cole. He had merely been a worker. However, in the blink of an eye, he found himself transformed into Cottrell Black, who had been trapped in the pyramid.

Only after regaining his memories did he realize that he had entered the magical world, encountering the renowned Principal Dumbledore, Senior Riddle whom he had seen in his memories, and Snape, who seemed melancholic all day long.

This wasn't Harry Potter's world, yet he had never known of a Cottrell in the Black family.

It wasn't until he assessed his situation that he speculated that perhaps this Blake had died here.

He found himself ensnared within the pyramid, in the Pharaoh's chamber.

Initially, he had aimed to locate the Pharaoh's treasure, but he became ensnared by a magical barrier and couldn't find the switch. The door bore a magical code that he couldn't decipher.

Thus, until he succumbed to starvation, he took the place of this Cottrell Black.

Cole was on the brink of despair. Despite inheriting the memories, he couldn't access the secret room. He was resigned to await death.

Unexpectedly, Gold Finger arrived. What was the name of the family system? The primary task was to enable him to inherit or establish his own family before it could be fully activated.

Naturally, there was also a beginner's gift package. The glasses Cole wore were magical items from the private collection of magicians from another world.

The perfect adaptation potion enabled him to swiftly master his own magic.

With his glasses, he not only unlocked the secret chamber but also opened the Pharaoh's coffin. Sadly, it was empty.

Initially, he had planned to establish his own family from scratch, akin to playing a game.

However, upon inadvertently learning about Voldemort's atrocities from a Black wizard, Cole realized that this might be his opportunity.

According to the original trajectory, the final fate of the Black family wasn't favorable. Sirius had vanished, and Regulus had become a corpse in the lake.

The legacy of the Black family was relatively inexpensive. That boy Harry Potter truly possessed the protagonist's aura.

Rather than toiling outside, why not return home and inherit millions of gold galleons? Wouldn't it be preferable to be a wealthy second generation?

He, Cottrell, was no less qualified to inherit the legacy than Harry. Sirius, that prodigal son, had squandered away millennia of heritage.

Yes, Cole harbored a deep resentment towards Sirius, not only because, in his previous life, he perceived the four Sirius individuals as school bullies.

Moreover, the predecessor, Cottrell, had been the one subjected to bullying, as severely as Snape, if not worse.

Since childhood, the predecessor had been timid, inept at speaking, and disliked by the Black couple.

Although Sirius was disobedient, he possessed exceptional magical talent. Not only was he highly skilled in transformation, but he also excelled in spells.

To outsiders, Sirius, who appeared cheerful and lively, seemed like the perfect noble boy, but to Cole, he was a nightmare.

The predecessor had been sorted into Slytherin like Regulus but was two years younger, and unlike Regulus, who was more highly regarded for his obedience.

Cole had been timid since childhood, and Sirius redirected all of Mrs. Black's oppression toward him, not daring to bully Regulus.

James Potter and Lupin, they relished bullying Cole, subjecting him to various minor curses. Wasn't this simply school bullying?

After futilely complaining to the Blacks and being reprimanded as incompetent, the predecessor had fled Hogwarts and departed the wizarding world alone.

Until his demise while exploring the pyramids, he had experienced many trials in his life. Cole also lamented that a person who possessed the courage to face the outside world lacked the courage to resist his family's discrimination.

Cole stared blankly at the ceiling, contemplating the system in his mind, when a voice resounded in Cole's mind.

"The family system is officially activated. This system is fully dedicated to aiding the host in establishing an exclusive family. It has been detected that the host has inherited the name of the Black family. The initial task is complete."

"The exchange panel is now accessible, the mall system is online, and the family honor list is visible."

Upon hearing this voice, Cole became elated. He hadn't arrived in this world out of panic but rather because his predecessor's magical abilities were truly lacking.

Furthermore, he had left school as a teenager and wandered aimlessly. Without structured education, he had relied solely on his innate talent to survive.

"System, claim the mission reward."

Cole recalled that he could claim the first gift upon returning to the Black family's old residence.

"Arcane Mage Crystal: Can be used to enhance one's magical prowess."

"Mage Tower Blueprints: In distant realms, mages conquer gods and realms, relying on the Mage Tower."

"Otherworldly Visitor: Summoned by an enigmatic force, a visitor from afar possesses a unique lineage. After systematic transformation, they become loyal to the host and shall never betray."

Upon listening to the system's rewards, Cole immediately sat up.

"System, produce the mage crystal."

Cole had only truly comprehended what a real wizard was after encountering Dumbledore. With the glasses bestowed by the system, Cole could perceive the magical elements surrounding Dumbledore distinctly.

The wand was merely a tool, and judging by the level of activity, Cole believed that Dumbledore could cast spells with merely a wave of his hand.

The void ruptured, and a purple crystal floated leisurely in the air, emitting an otherworldly light.

Cole extended his hand and crushed it directly. Countless purple energy strands enveloped and permeated Cole's body, infusing him with potent energy.

Cole closed his eyes, relishing the sensation. After several moments, he slowly opened his eyes.

Glancing down at his body, he discerned no discernible changes. Turning to the mirror beside him, he still appeared noble and unchanged.

It seemed as though nothing had altered, yet only Cole was cognizant of the transformation occurring within him.

Having received the inheritance of the mage crystal, Cole realized that magical power was categorized into levels, although the HP world wasn't stringent about such distinctions.

A wizard's magical power surged as they matured, reaching its zenith in their prime before gradually diminishing.

Titles such as wizard apprentices or grand wizards didn't exist here. If one didn't take action, it seemed that their true capabilities remained unknown.

However, Cole sensed that his vast magical power rivaled that of Dumbledore's, if not exceeded it, and his magical prowess was exceptionally active.

With a mere thought, the blueprints materialized in Cole's hand. He nearly overlooked it.

It wasn't until he perused the contents that Cole realized the challenges involved in constructing the mage tower.

Not only did it necessitate considerable financial resources, but it also required numerous specialized materials, of which Cole was unfamiliar.

Nonetheless, the potential of the mage tower was immense. According to legend, in distant realms, every mage aspired to erect their own mage tower.

A formidable mage tower could even breach plane barriers, enabling mages to slay gods.
