Mr. Black looked at Dos again, squinting his eyes and asked, "Dos, what's going on here tonight?"
"Old President, this is what happened..."
Dos quickly recounted what had transpired.
As Mr. Black listened to his explanation, his expression became increasingly grim.
He glanced at the group of people in the municipal council and asked, "Is what Dos said true? Did you really do something you shouldn't have?"
"I..."
All the bigwigs in the municipal council lowered their heads and dared not utter a word.
Even those who were not directly involved knew what was happening but had turned a blind eye to it, which was, in itself, a dereliction of duty.
Mr. Black took a deep breath, suppressed his anger, and spoke word by word, "The fact that such a thing happened shows there are serious problems in our Marin system. You must reflect on this and conduct a thorough review!"
