章節 27: Foolish Goblin

In the Trial Realm of Life and Death, Aeon had very little to no information. Even though the Grimoire of Life and Death answers some of his questions, Aeon needs more information if he wants to complete the trial sooner.

Of course, Aeon didn't know whether he could find any useful information in the old book; however, he felt there was no harm in deciphering the information inside the book.

'Come out, my Little Goblin.'

'Tap'

'Swoosh'

Aeon lightly tapped the Goblinbone Totem and in the next second, a green-coloured portal appeared on the ground before a two-meter-tall goblin walked out of it.

"Master"

The first thing that goblin did after coming out of the portal was to respectfully greet Aeon.

'Huh?'

However, in the next second, the goblin looked a little confused at its master.

"Can you read it?"

Aeon noticed a look but he still ordered the goblin in a commanding tone while tossing the old book in his hands.

"Y-yes, master."

The goblin soldier stuttered a little even so, he acknowledged the command and caught the old book.

"Blixthorn's Diary…it says Blixthron's Diary, Master."

Since words in the book seemed to belong to the Goblin Language, Aeon believed that his summoned Goblin Soldier could read it.

Without much surprise, the summoned Goblin Soldier read the words on the first page, making Aeon feel a little relieved.

"So, it is Goblin Mage's diary. Then, there must be a lot of information in it, right?"

Soon, Aeon became excited and asked the Goblin Soldier to read it.

"I am not going back to the Goblinthorn Village until I complete my spell to reincarnate with my memories intact."

"Everyone laughed at my dream and thought it was an old goblin's senseless dream. They even called me a Foolish Goblin despite having countless achievements to my name."

"But I am not going to give up just because of them because I know one day I am going to achieve that and break free of the shackles of my current body."

The Summoned Goblin Soldier continued to read one page after another. Starting from the Goblin Mage's goal to some of the significant achievements he made in his life…everything was noted down.

'His goal is to complete the reincarnate spell with memories intact?'

As for Aeon, he was already shocked by the Goblin Mage's goal because it could be considered very hard to achieve.

Reincarnating with the memories intact from the previous lives was not new to Aeon because he had heard some stories in his History Lessons.

Of course, no one had ever met someone who achieved that and the most definite reason was the one who achieved that would never say it out as he would be hunted by the rest of the world for that process.

The reason why Aeon was shocked was because a Goblin had dared to dream of such a thing. As far as he knew, Goblins are simple creatures but now, his perspective about them has changed.

Time continued to pass and in a flash, ten minutes passed by and the Summoned Goblin Soldier's summoning time had been completed.

'Swoosh'

In the next second, it was sent back into the portal and Aeon needed to wait for another day to summon it.

'In just 10 minutes, he read half of the book and from it, I got quite some valuable information.'

Even though there was still half a book remaining to read, Aeon was already satisfied with the information he got.

According to the first half of the diary, Aeon concluded, "Blixthron is one of the oldest goblins in the small Goblin Village named Goblinthorn and reached the limit of its lifespan."

"It used some forbidden elixir to forcefully break through to Captain Realm to live for 10 years. The Goblin Mage decided to dedicate these 10 years to completing a reincarnation spell that lets him reincarnate with his current memories intact."

"With that goal in mind, he, the Foolish Goblin of the Goblinthorn Village had left the village with his minions, exploring the world outside his village."

Aeon skipped some of the Goblin Mage's mentioned achievements like becoming the first goblin mage in the village, killing a Captain Grade Monster when he was still in the Sergeant Grade and concluded the first half of the Goblin Mage's story.

"As for the second half of the diary, I think I can tell what happened."

With the current flow, Aeon continued, "Having killed a captain-grade monster when he was still a sergeant-grade monster, he thought to kill the group of Hornless Orcs he encountered because they were arch-enemies of Goblins."

"However, this Foolish Goblin Mage was unlucky because the group of Hornless Orcs were led by a special Orc Sergeant and was severely injured. He must have escaped after sacrificing more than half of his minions before hiding in this cave for his recuperation."

Of course, Aeon was still going to make his Summoned Goblin Soldier read it to confirm whether his assumptive story was right or wrong.

'The most important information I got from this diary was the information about the Goblinthorn Village. Following the directional signs mentioned in the diary, I can find the Goblinthorn Village.'

Aeon revealed an excited smile on his face because he had finally found a way to kill more goblins and complete the trial regarding Goblin's Part.

'According to the Goblin Mage, he travelled north to his village for two days and then east for one day before finding this cave. As long as I follow this route in reverse, I can eventually find the Goblinthorn Village.'

With Aeon's current strength, there was no way he could kill all the Goblins in the Goblinthorn Village; however, he could wait outside the village for a perfect opportunity to find a single Goblin to kill.

Even though there was some risk to it, it was an acceptable risk for Aeon for the progress of his trial.

'Since I am not finding any individual goblins, I might as well go to their village.'

This was what Aeon thought in his head as he continued, "Moreover, I still have the spell [Goblinfire Bolt] which would disappear in five more days. I have to find the Goblinthorn Village before that."

Soon, Aeon set a new goal in his mind and it was to find the Goblinthorn Village within five days.
