Grace lowered the phone from her ear, feeling a deep sense of relief and gratitude sweeping through her. She glanced at Caden, who was now watching her out of the corner of his eye.

"All good?" he asked casually.

Grace nodded. "Yeah. He's fine. They've got the information, and from what he said. Wendy's mom should be back home soon."

Caden smiled knowingly. "Told you he'd handle it."

"Yeah," Grace said nodded. It was still surprising how fast Jace had handled the whole situation in such a short time. It was a lot faster than she would have if it was just her.

He seemed to have his men and resources everywhere if not how would he so confidently promise her that Wendy's mom would be home before long.

As they drove on in silence, Grace couldn't help but wonder how she got this lucky to catch the fancy of such an outstanding man like Jace. What would she have done without him?
