"And you'll be more unfortunate if you don't stop spewing nonsense," Jace warned and followed with a threatening step in Caden's direction.
The latter immediately set a seal over his mouth and looked truly frightened. He risked an SOS glance in Grace's direction.
Grace couldn't help but laugh at the whole drama. Caden was always so nice to have around… always the light and soul of every gathering.
"How was your trip Caden? I guessed you must have traveled when I didn't see you around for so long," Grace asked, initiating a truce which earned her a frown from Jace.
Caden made as if he was waiting for permission from his brother to speak as he stealthily walked forward.
"Really? Answer the question," he more or less ordered and it was like a tap was turned on as Caden went on to recount about his journey with none of the fears he'd displayed before.
"Now, enough about me," he finally said. "How are you doing, Grace?"
