At this point, Grace had completely lost hope and believed it was all over.

Wendy on the other hand had been reduced to a nervous wreck with every negative report that was delivered.

At some point, she had to be resuscitated and even induced so she could rest after the second resuscitation.

"We have just a few hours left for Mrs Gales to be saved. Anything after that will be too late," Dr Mitchell announced when Grace came back the following morning.

"Are you sure, Doctor?" Grace still asked even if she knew there was no need for the question.
