Uncontrolled tears rolled down Grace's face as she clasped her friend in a tight embrace.

They looked like two sisters who had suddenly found out that they were all alone in this world after they lost their parents.

It was this scene that Jace saw when he peered into the ward and felt his heart constrict deep within him.

After an unknown amount of time, Wendy reluctantly broke the embrace, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand, then said,

"You have to leave now, Grace. I guess Boss has gone back."

"But…"

Knowing what Grace was worried about, Wendy interrupted her.

"I won't be here alone. I've sent for my brother and he will be arriving later tonight. He will be here with me to spend the night with mom in the hospital."

"Are you sure or you are just saying that to get rid of me?" Grace asked suspiciously.

How many times has she asked her to send for her brother, but Wendy would always give one excuse or the other.
