章節 37: Am I Forgiven?

Adeline couldn't say a word because all she could manage was a nod, a subconscious nod of her head.

Caesar patted her cheek and tucked the strands of hair that fell over her face behind her ear.

"Good girl," he hummed, his eyes smiling along with his lips.

Adeline slowly slipped away from him, and immediately rushed out of the bathroom. She slammed the door shut and rested her back against the door, her chest rising and falling in heavy breathing.

What the hell just happened there? Her neck bumped as she swallowed the lump that had built up in her throat.

She reached for the scent mark that tingled at a mere touch and hissed a bit, a frown on her face. 

She adjusted her suit, composed herself and walked off to return to Dimitri with a fake smile apparent on her face.

Caesar, who had stepped out of the bathroom, watched her leave, and his expression couldn't help but dim.
