"You didn't even say a word when you got back. I'll go cook something then." Mother Pei said, putting down her bag and hanging up her coat before hurrying off to the kitchen, mumbling about what food was left in the house.
"Mom, make less, there's some meat I brought back in the kitchen—a stir-fried dish will do," Jinye said from the sofa, poking his head out.
"Got it."
