After speaking, Kang Chen couldn't wait any longer and pulled Ming Mei towards the exit, eager to get their marriage certificate in his hands right away.
With the marriage certificate in his hands, he could finally put his heart at ease.
As they walked hand in hand out of the room, Kang Chen leaned in and quietly asked Ming Mei, "Did I say anything wrong earlier?"
Ming Mei thinks for a bit: "I don't think so."
Kang Chen visibly relaxed, "Well, that's good... old gramps really had me worried, just sitting there without making a sound. I'm glad I didn't screw up."
He was truly worried about saying it in front of the old man that he wanted to remarry Ming Mei.
Otherwise, they wouldn't be leaving today. Gramps would surely break his legs...
Ming Mei smirked at Kang Chen, "If you hadn't insisted on divorcing me in the first place, we wouldn't have to deal with this mess."
