Yun Mo stood at the entrance of the bedroom, looking inside.

Under the crystal chandelier, Qiao Xiaon'an was curled up on her side. The rustling sounds coming from the bedsheet suggested she hadn't fallen asleep yet. A nocturnal breeze streamed in through the tranquil window, causing the soft, sheer curtains to flutter gently.

The winter-spring night was still a bit chilly.

He walked over to seal the floor-to-ceiling window shut, allowing the curtains he had just lifted to drift back down. After turning on the heating, he looked back at Qiao Xiaon'an, noticing that her burnt right leg and right hand were both exposed. The wounds looked less red and swollen but still seemed painful. He could only imagine how it would feel if it were his own body; it must be unbearable.

As such, when Qiao Xiaon'an wanted to take a shower tonight, he did not allow her to do it on her own.
