It took the egg to cultivate it's human form more than millions years. But it was not able to age or have a normal human life.

In that moment, Ah Xian took the egg in his arm and lost consciousness, but when he woke up he didn't even recognise the egg or anything about Yun Ling.

It was nothing but an illusion to eyes.
