~~~Xandar~~~
"GRRRRR" Endoxes roared imposingly as we soared through the skies, frightening the birds that flew at the same altitude as the two of us.
The sun's rays reflected off the dull golden membranes of Endoxes, a bluish color with dull golden membranes, along with the chest and lower part of the same color. That, plus the scaly rows on its body, in company with its large horns on its head, made Endoxes' appearance both beautiful and scary at the same time.
"Why are you screaming? Do you want me to go deaf?" I asked, receiving from him a strange sound from his throat that resembled a laugh.
Something I noticed after Endoxes came out of the dimension of The End. Endoxes could not communicate with other people, although he could understand them. However, he could not talk to them, and as for me, for some unknown reason, he could talk to me in a way... Mental? Yes, that would be the term.
"And how do you think the people below will see us? I deserve to be seen and praised," Endoxes, even with his ego sky-high, said haughtily, as we flew over the Rose River.
"That won't be necessary," I said, laughing at his behavior. "Your size is more than enough".
"What?" End asked indignantly, "What if they don't notice me? I must warn them."
"Hahaha, ok, you win, but not too hard; I don't wish to take health potions now," I commended him, as I got up from his back, the place where I was sitting. To then fly up and get to the right side of his face.
"A race," I said amidst laughter, "first one to the zoo wins".
"GRRRRRRRRR!" Was Endoxes response, then Endoxes got explosive speed and flew at full speed towards the zoo.
"Hahaha," I laughed, as I accelerated and tried to catch up. Endoxes, although it was a big dragon, possessed an amazing speed, perhaps reaching 150 km/h, thanks to its wings that measured more than sixty meters.
The flight did not last long, and in a short time, we were over the skies of the zoo, which, even from the great height we were at, looked immense. With its large complexes and domes, where thousands of dangerous creatures lived.
Once we began to circle the zoo, I could see how hundreds of Wyvern riders took to the skies and mounted on the beautiful specimens as they maneuvered in groups. While on the ground, trained men were giving them instructions and orders with a large fifteen-meter structure with banners attached, like the one used by Azog in the battle of the five armies.
Accompanied by signals with the sounds of trumpets and horns, the riders maneuvered their wyverns and shot arrows with the aid of their enchanted bows over dummies and structures at strategic points.
'Apparently, the training is progressing' I thought, taking great satisfaction in that.
Signaling Endoxes, we landed in a secluded part of everyone, since no matter how much training the wyverns had, none had been able to be controlled in the close presence of Endoxes the presence of the dragon of The End made them feel in extreme danger.
With the ground shaking, Endoxes landed, folding his massive wings and beginning to walk toward a large clearing he had used for his nest.
"It's much quieter as time goes on," Gallio said, who came up to me the moment he saw that I had come from my flight with Endoxes.
"Yes," I replied without taking my eyes off the dragon, who had come to his nest and lay down on the ground. "After flying for a full day without a break, being calm is the wrong term; rather, he spent his stored energy of many years".
And so it was. After Endoxes arrived from the End, he flew every day without fail, landed at full speed, started running, and then soared again. He was enjoying his freedom after all those years of being in a dimension without being able to leave.
Although Endoxes was big and highly intelligent, his behavior was still that of a child, although his childlike behavior did not prevent him from becoming serious and extremely dangerous in some cases.
Especially when he felt threatened, since after years of fighting thousands of men in The End, he had become a killing machine. Which was apparent when he formed a ruckus in the large stable.
It happened that he had landed there out of curiosity and had inadvertently entered the devastators' enclosure, ending in him finding himself in a confrontation with them, resulting in him killing twelve without needing to use his breath, only with his claws, teeth, and limbs.
"My King, I was coming to remind you of the charity event organized at the academy; you know that important people from Yi Ti and the free cities will be attending; besides, you have a meeting at ten o'clock with the Minister of Advancement; it's about railroads and trains."
Nodding, I thanked him and flew to my bedroom, to get ready and be on time for all the meetings I would have today.
It wasn't until half an hour later that I arrived at the inner bazaar of the castle, already wearing highly expensive clothing along with a diamond and gold crown.
In the bazaar of the castle, a carriage was waiting for me, whose doors were opened by some servants, and I entered it. At the same time, it began to move forward, while I was followed by my blood riders and two wolves.
The others were somewhere in the zoo, sleeping or competing with some tattooed lizards.
Wherever I passed, people would stop and give me a wave, even in cases where many would bow or throw flowers on the road where the carriage would pass.
Such was the level of affection and love given to me by the people of Xandar, that although the enchantment of loyalty made them, as its name says, Loyal, it did not mean that they kept love for me.
That last one I got thanks to my actions over the last few months, and it should be noted that I had fallen in love with it.
Now, as I was passing through the streets of the High Side and the carriage was going up to one of the bridges to cross the Pink River, I felt a presence watching me.
It was a stiff, ancient, strong gaze, which made me uncomfortable. "Do it," I said suddenly to the air. Valka, who was under the effects of the invisibility potion and was traveling with me in the carriage, exited the carriage through the window and took action.
After a few seconds, Valka re-entered the carriage, this time with a dead raven in her hands. 'The three-eyed raven.' I thought, with Valka confirming my thoughts.
"It was a puppet," she said, applying a strange potion to the dead raven and causing it to disintegrate. "Its master is far away; I couldn't stipulate per se its location, but it is in Westeros."
"It's The three-eyed raven," I replied, still confused. The three-eyed raven's seer green power was not supposed to be so much to see in Essos, let alone Xandar which was half a world away.
"What do you command? While it may take us time, we may be able to track his magical signature and capture or assassinate him."
"No, we have no information on him, let alone the children of the forest, who helped him," I commented, thinking about what to do. "Have the Arcane Center be very vigilant about this; we don't want state secrets revealed to foreign people."
Things were starting to get more cheerful. I knew at first, that with my presence, the flapping of the butterfly's wings would be great and unknown, but one thing was to know what would happen, and another was to know firsthand its effects.
First, it was with the demon in Vaes Dothrak, and now with the Three-Eyed Raven. Still, I was excited about it, knowing that it was because I had become a major player in the world, the visits from said beings being the result of it.
Soon enough, we were passing through the great northern market, a giant center where thousands of vendors, both native and foreigners, had stores and sold every unimaginable product. As we passed through the market, I could see several people, both men and women, riding horses and carrying bags made of straw stored in compartments carried by the horse.
Many times I was surprised by the things I saw in Xandar, even though I did not get to know everything that happened in the city. However, one thing I did know was that, due to the large size of the city, the time to do the things that were needed daily was extremely extensive.
I don't know exactly who was the first to use it, but apparently, people who wanted something from the market would send their parrots to the place with the list of things they wanted and their home address.
Then, the sellers would pack everything up and send it to helpers, who would take the products to the house and collect the money. This caused the time to be shortened.
If trains and railroads worked, it was expected that communication, transportation, and everything as a whole would improve.
"Your Majesty, it is good to see you." Stephen, the Minister of Advancement, formerly known as the Minister of Technology, greeted me with enormous enthusiasm, without waiting for me to get well off the carriage.
Smiling at his joy, I greeted him, "I see you are more excited than I am, Stephen."
"Of course, my King!" he answered me, raising his arms as if praising something, "this could be my babies from now on."
I just shook my head, watching Stephen behave like a mad scientist. So determined to see why he was so ecstatic, I followed him into the huge smithies, to a secluded spot where several blacksmiths were working with Redstone mechanisms.
"And here it is!" said Stephen, showing me a huge train cab. The cab, with a driving cubicle, painted black and gray, looked very much like the old trains, although this one had no boilers.
He runs better than I thought possible, Your Majesty. With the help of Redstone alternators and pistons, the train can get three speeds, the best thing is that it doesn't need coal to run; with just Redstone dust, it is possible."
As Stephen continued to explain, I was only enchanted by the train, which, at six meters long and three meters high, along with its beautiful and charming design, grabbed all my attention, making me smile, knowing the promising future that awaited Xandar.
