"Okay, good, great," I said, smiling at our Grandparents.
"The rest of the family won't like this though," Riley said.
"We have the same concerns," I told my cousin.
"It won't really matter." Grandpa Alain scoffed. "You're the head of the family and when I gave you that title I gave you all of our wealth as well."
"If they don't agree, it isn't difficult to cut them off," Grandpa Luther added. "As for the Durfort family, most will be willing to agree seeing as many of them thought we'd be dropping the Durfort name completely."
"I'd never ask Lili to do that," Alexi quickly responded.
"We knew you wouldn't," Lex said. "But that's how it normally goes and we can't exactly expect you to just ignore tradition."
"That's seems to be the thing that my husband and I tend to do the most," Lilith said as she leaned her head on my shoulder.
I reached over and combed my fingers through her hair.
