"Have we got them?" I asked as Cassandra entered my office. 

We'd figured out which projects they were targetting and our enemies had decided to go big or go home. 

They had set their eyes on the most crucial ones, the same ones I was worried would be snapped up. 

At first they tried to make it seem like the the partners and the contractors of the project had backed out because I was being unprofessional.

We let that one through and made them believe they had one, when in fact we had new contractors lined up.

I didn't want to work with people that could so easily be bought. 

To work with us there was a certain level of trust needed, and that was absent with those that worked with Vanessa and her group.

We let news spread that the contractors had pulled out, but the reason was still a mystery. 

"Not yet, but we're gathering proof," Cassandra told me as I glanced at the paper trail we already had.
