"I think it's because we ran into Philip ummm… what's his last name, the head of the Sales Department?" I asked Cassandra.

"God woman, you really need Mr. Durfort's help," Cassandra chuckled and shook her head.

Of course, I already knew that Philip's last name was Thompson, but I needed to give Cassandra reason to believe that I wasn't fucking my own cousin.

I saw the look in her eyes earlier. It wasn't jealousy, it was heartbreak. 

"Trust me, it was a pain to hear Mr. Harris tell him off about how I should be better prepared to assist his fiancée," I grumbled playing my part.

"It's Thompson," she said. "And he's the head of the Sales Department for Morrison Co., the fashion arm of the company."

Morrison Co. was named after Grandpa Luther's younger brother, he was into fashion and surprisingly quite out about being gay despite the times. He was also Grandpa's favorite sibling and he spoiled him to no end.
